The February artist of the month is Williamsburg artist Kay Krapfl. Kay dreamed of becoming an impressionistic painter one day. She appreciated the way that they captured lighting while painting everyday subjects.  She also loved the way they worked emotion into their artwork while telling a story. Kay feels that each of her paintings is a learning experience. She enjoys working in many mediums such as oil, acrylic, pastels, watercolors and ink. Kay’s choice of medium often depends on the subject. She paints every day, creating scenes of nature’s beauty. Kay’s collection can be viewed and shopped in the Art Speaks Gallery and online through the month of February.
